I had the opportunity of tutoring college algebra and basics of statistics during 2003 and 2004 while pursuing my Master of Business Administration degree at Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. Also had the opportunity of being teacher assistant for geometry during my Junior year while taking my bachelor degree. Currently I manage a retail store for a Fortune 100 company and I just finished a concentration on Finances to add to my MBA degree.
I certainly strive for having my students to understand the concept of the subject, rather than memorizing every step of a given process. Understanding the basics will give you the tools to solve or analyze a problem for a possible solution and that will lead you to more successful results.

As a Russian linguist I am qualified in a number of English linguistics subjects as well. Continuing that theme, I tutored my peers at law school in property, administrative and contracts law. I am a retired CPA and Attorney at Law.As trial counsel for a Major law firm I handled all tax related matters and also retained a parnership in a CPA firm. All aspects of accounting from complicated audits to write-ups and tax preparation as well as Federal and State tax audits were handled by me. For several years I was on the speakers bureau for the Bar Assoc.and made presentations to other attorneys. I more recently obtained a California Real Estate Brokers license and was in charge of training new agents and still give advanced training to new and experienced agents.

My teaching style has evolved as I gained more experience. I have always been interactive with students in the classroom through projects, cases, and role-playing. In later years, I have made extensive use of materials and videos on the Internet. For example, when working one-on-one with a learner, I have found it effective to use interesting questions and problems which require the learner to work through the material. I support this with videos on the Internet that either introduce and describe the material or demonstrate to the learner that he or she has learned the material.
