My teaching style is to make sure that those I am helping understand what is being talked about. If they do not, we will keep working at it until clear. Since all teaching ways do not work for all students, I try to figure out what would work best for those I am currently tutoring, so that they will succeed. I have tutored through the organization Literacy Volunteers in Flagstaff and Lake Havasu. Additionally, I tutored English in a refugee camp in Zambia, when I was with the Peace Corps. I believe the learning experience should always be an enjoyable one. I use humor from time to time in my teaching. A teacher can make the learning experience more enjoyable and more memorable by injecting humor into certain lessons.
