I enjoy teaching and use a variety of different methods. I incorporate different activities into each lesson to reinforce what we have learned. With my younger students I also incorporated a lot of music into the class that helped them with their verb conjugations, pronouns, etc. To keep the students' attention I am always keeping them moving, whether it be with an activity or just simply writing phrases on the board. I encourage them to be speaking in French constantly throughout the class.
I have been teaching at the Community College. I have students that range in age from 17 years old to 55 years old. I am enjoying teaching very much and would like to add to the teaching I do. Teaching requires empathy for the learner's situation above all other things. This means looking at things from the student's perspective and communicating effectively with the student to determine where help is needed and how to provide it. Learning is most effective when the student is respected and is provided the appropriate means for that individual to discover and absorb the subject matter.
