I love to see children succeed. I am easy to get along with and happy to help you. I understand that not all students like math or understand it. My goal is to change my student’s outlook on mathematics by giving them a better base understanding of the subject. My favorite way to teach is through simple examples, especially an example already in the book that the student can reference to when I am not around. Every teacher must recognize that individuals learn at their own pace. I try to begin at a pace that the student feels comfortable with while gradually challenging them to improve their performance. My technical background makes me a very visual person. I like to incorporate that in my instruction, using visual aides and examples. Placing student of varying levels together will aide the learning process. My three-step guide is learn—teach—perform. If a student has learned the material well enough to teach another, they are well on their way to master the subject.

As an college graduate, I was passionate about helping others achieve and improving the world. I earned my BA in Interior Design with a minor in Architectural Drafting. Later, I enrolled in a MBA program but due to the economy, I lost my job which had an substantial effect on my educational quest. I have gained a broad range of math skills and writing skills throughout college, which has helped me tutor bilingual children over the past three years.
