I graduated in May of 2010 with my BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas in San Antonio. I have taken all math courses from College Algebra to Calculus 3. Engineering courses have furthered my knowledge and understanding in how the mathematics can be applied to real life. I have tutored college and high school students. Every teacher must recognize that individuals learn at their own pace. I try to begin at a pace that the student feels comfortable with while gradually challenging them to improve their performance. My technical background makes me a very visual person. I like to incorporate that in my instruction, using visual aides and examples. Placing student of varying levels together will aide the learning process. My three-step guide is learn—teach—perform. If a student has learned the material well enough to teach another, they are well on their way to master the subject.

A Little Bit About Me...

As an college graduate, I was passionate about helping others achieve and improving the world. I earned my BA in Interior Design with a minor in Architectural Drafting. Later, I enrolled in a MBA program but due to the economy, I lost my job which had an substantial effect on my educational quest. I have gained a broad range of math skills and writing skills throughout college, which has helped me tutor bilingual children over the past three years.
