Math and Physics Tutor

I follow the "EDGE" method for teaching: Explain, Demonstrate, Guide, and Enable. I will explain the material, demonstrate it with an example, guide the student through working through a problem, and then enable the student to work independently while still being available for questions. I also try to connect what the student is learning to real-life applications, especially ones that resonate with the student's interests. I focused on building the concepts of my students. I usually asked questions to encourage students to think and learn the concepts. I encourage my students to put their efforts into solving a problem before giving them hints and the final answers.
I had locally taught middle and high school since 2015. Since then teaching has been my passion, and I have taught over 20 students of middle school to high school in one on one tutoring. I taught college students for a short period of time. I had the experience of teaching of different calibers and successfully improving their grades. I once taught a student who was failing in mathematics and but I was successfully able to make him achieve a B grade.

6 years of experience of using CAD software

I have an experience of about 6 years in using Sketchup and other CAD softwear. I am mainly specialized in using CAD for architectural design, but I also used if for product design as also. I am very familiarized with the extensions that Sketchup uses. I published several paper which concern the use of CAD technology for preserving architectural heritage.

My comments on tutoring CAD : CAD or Computer Assisted Drafting includes 2D and 3D drawings that are used to describe either what something looks like or how it functions by itself or along with other items it will be integrated with. As with most of the subjects listed here, CAD is a means of making work more efficient and of presenting a more professional appearance as opposed to a hand sketch. Sketchup and AutoCAD are two examples of the many CAD softwares available today.

My teaching style is usually hands on however where possible, I also have the ability to tutor remotely, greatly increasing the opportunity for distance learning.
While I have not received a degree in any of the fields that I am experienced enough to tutor in, I have been working in the Audio Visual industry for over 12 years and have learned a great many things that are essential to successful use of any of these tools.Whether you live near me in North Carolina or in Hawaii and need my assistance, please feel free to drop me a line and lets see what I can do to help you.

Have mentored students in a relaxed manner as well as in a strict scheduled manner, can do both. For Math/Sciences I generally use example problems to help learn a core concept then use an application style problem to help the student solidify their understanding, rather than just memorize the process. Strong skills editing a students writing, both creative and technical. I enjoy coding and CAD and have developed a few methods that the student can use to help them debug issues. Individualized learning/teaching for optimal comprehension

I take a hands on material approach to learning/teaching. I feel that young students learn best when they can physically interact with the materials, such as through blocks/puzzles/interactive learning devices and other similar approaches.
