I have over 30 years of playing and teaching experience of piano and keyboard. I feel I have an advantage as a piano teacher with perfect pitch. Even though my strength as a player is primarily jazz, I can teach all styles. I can teach using two approaches. There are students who want to learn how to read or to improve their reading skills, and then there are students who know how to read, but cannot improvise. My experience allows me to teach piano with both approaches. I like to empower the student. Hands on is important, and then let the student develop and learn by empowerment.
