The process is just as important as the product. If a student can come up with the correct answer, but he or she has no idea how or why it is correct or how they got it, I feel like their learning is incomplete. Especially in Math, but also in many other subjects, concepts build upon each other. For this reason, I like to explain not just *how* to get there, but also *why* we got that answer; then students have a firmer foundation for the trickier concepts. I can help you get the most out of your textbook resources, knowing when to ask the teacher for extra help, searching for online help effectively, creating study materials such as note cards, and generally setting up a study routine that works for you.

I prefer personal and small group teaching, but I can also do online tutoring with Webex. I like to get to know my students and their goals.
