A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a reserve teacher for the last five years in the Dayton public School system. I teacher basic education from grade k-12, but my best subject is k-3 and I am getting my certify license in early childhood education at Central State. I just got done with my student teaching and that was very educational for me because it was just about what I was already doing in teaching but it let me know that I was doing what I had learning in school. I also worked with preschooler so I know what they can do at their age level.
my teaching style is what the children need to know about that lesson, and how can I help them get what they need to be successful in school. Classroom management is one big thing about my teaching if you don't have order in your class you not running your class its running you and that not good for teaching students.

Success is Feasible

I teach according to the student's learning style. I acknowledge that all students learn differently, and I excel at catering to visual, aural, and kinesthetic needs of students.
In 2011 to 2012 I worked as a lead tutor for Academic Achievers in Muncie. My core focus was to improve writing skills. I have worked with at-risk elementary students since 1993. I have taught Kindergarten and second grade for an inner city Catholic School, and fourth grade for West Carrollton City Schools. I also worked 8 years for a company that provided Title 1 services to non-public schools in the city of Dayton. I have worked for West Carrollton City Schools since 2006, the last six years as an Intervention Specialist for 4th grade IEP students and students in the RTI process.
My teaching style is very individualized with an emphasis on the strengths of the student. I feel it is important to build a positive relationship with the student centered on success and trust. I believe in setting realistic goals with children and developing and working toward the goal.
