I have experience in teaching others and have completed an internship grades k-4th when in College. I currently work with special education students at a local school. I also work at an after school program to ensure educational activites during the after school hours. I Earned a double major from BHSU in 2008 for Sociology and Human Services with an empahsis in probation and Law enforcement. I enjoy working with kids of all a ages and skill levels! My passion is working with kids who are special education, or those who need more one on one time. Math was always a struggle for me so I enjoy working with kids who need extra support with math/algebra. I believe each child learns in their own way and it's extremely important to find their learning style and build from it. I am capable of adapting to the learning skills of the individual students with whom I affiliate. I substitute taught for nearly 3 years before I enrolled as a graduate student. I have several ways of motivating students to perform their best, and believe it is critical that they understand that they can master the methods of academic success. In the past 2 years, I have been a Masters in Counseling student, attaining a 4.0 GPA. I work with troubled students from 15-25 hours per week, and I have excellent grammatical and spelling skills. I am a publshed author, and I have an excellent grip of many general areas of education. My specific strengths are research and writing, as well as scholarly counseling psychology, and the law. I have a Bachelors, Masters, and Juris Doctorate, and can write on any number of subjects. I will receive my Masters in Mental Health Counseling in 2012.
