Took three years of college courses on Psychology at Ashford University, trained with a Computer Troubleshooting Specialist for four years, have two books of my own written word poetry published. In my time at Ashford I picked plenty of shareable skills, study skills, time management, and using my keyboard to it's fullest potential to meet deadlines. While training with the Computer Troubleshooter, I learned more about how to use software and typing/keyboard shortcuts to utilize computers to their full potential. My comments on tutoring Homework Help : I have often helped kids with their homework in various subjects

I am patient and treat kids with the same respect I am given. since I am young, I believe teaching kids will be easier because I can understand any troubles they may be having and the material is fresh in my head.
I am graduating high school this year and I am the oldest of three children. My sister is in first grade and my brother is in PreK. After school we come home and work on homework and sight words. I have babysat family friends and neighbors for three years now. I completed two years of Early Childhood Education classes with a built-in VPK. I find it partucularly useful to take time to get to know the student's interests so that I can relate each subject to things that the student is familiar with. Making this connection between a difficult concept and the student's personal areas of interest helps the student feel comfortable with the subject and therefore more confident thinking through each question presented. Once confidence is established, it becomes easier for students to develop an understanding of the subject area that can be applied without the tutor present.
