A Little Bit About Me...

When I substitute teach, there is not always a need to have to teach something but I am very happy when that times comes. I have had the opportunity to teach anywhere from 6th grade students learning about adverbs to high school students learning about trigonometric functions. Luckily, I have retained my knowledge in most areas and can help relate my experiences to the kids. I try to allow the whole group to participate and not just lecture the whole class. They enjoy working out the lesson examples and problems on the media that is used so all of the class can see the successes and where we need more work and explanation. Hands on work is very valuable such as working with graphing calculators. The students enjoy manipulatives and technology where they can make their own discoveries.
