I started by tutoring introduction to chemistry- college level at the University of Texas - El Paso where I attended. This was a part time student job that made me consider teaching. I then tutored chemistry, physics, and mathematics at a nearby high school. This was the preparation for the state exam (Texas) called TAKS. This introduced me to the high school level and I liked it. I went ahead and worked with the school district for one more semester before I was assigned a school for my internship/student teaching. After I graduated, I moved to Colorado (Greeley) where I worked at Northridge high school as a math teacher 2009-2010 school year.

I graduated high school in the International Baccalaureate program with a 4.5 gpa and 30 college credits. I then went on to the University of Colorado starting out as a sophomore. A Little Bit About Me...

My style of teaching includes visual explanation (white board or chalk board), oral discussion, and hands-on manipulation when ever possible. I try to use as many teaching styles as possible as not all students learn via the same means. My style is also fexible based on the student I am instructing (age or handicaps). I believe the best way to teach science is to make it a fun and inquisitive experience.
I hold a BS and MS in Biology. I started to tutor college student while an undergraduate at Mesa State College.I was awarded the GK-12 Fellowship for two years while at the University of Northern Colorado. This fellowship placed me in k-12 classrooms to aid in teaching sciene.
