I have a variety of experience. Most of my tutoring experience is with older students, aged 15 or older. However, I feel that I could work with younger kids as well. I love learning, and I get excited when a student fully grasps the material. I try and reinforce a teachers method of teaching. However, if repetition is not the issue, than I try and explain topics in different ways with lots of examples.I believe a tutor can really be a great supplement to the classroom teacher.

In highschool I was in Advanced Placement Honors Classes such as Calculus and Science. I have earned two degrees, BA in Managment and MBA in Business Administration, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of business such as finance, marketing, econonmics, and organizational behavior but I have always enjoyed basic math such as alegebra. In addition, through my extensive writing of papers at the Masters level and Doctoral level I have learned extensive grammatical skills, literary techniques, MLA, and APA knowledge. I moved to North Carolina shortly after graduating in August 2007. I was a teacher Assistant in a Kindergarten classroom. I helped the teacher create lesson plans, I helped children is small groups and one on one. I also served as a team teacher since I had my teaching degree. I also taught whenever needed. This past year I began the school year off in Ohio working as a substitute for 3 different school districts. I worked in several different grade levels including special ed. Then in December, I landed a job with Head Start teaching preschool to 3-5 year olds.
