A Little Bit About Me...

I have a variety of experience. Most of my tutoring experience is with older students, aged 15 or older. However, I feel that I could work with younger kids as well. I love learning, and I get excited when a student fully grasps the material. I try and reinforce a teachers method of teaching. However, if repetition is not the issue, than I try and explain topics in different ways with lots of examples.I believe a tutor can really be a great supplement to the classroom teacher.
I graduated from Hope College in three years with a BS in Biology, a BA in Chemistry, and a minor in Classical Studies. I tutored throughout high school and college. A Little Bit About Me...

I grew up in a family that values education so much that we were living in a state of war in Lebanon and still running from one school to the other. This instilled in me a great amount of love and appreciation towards education. During High school, I joined “Shabibat EL-Makassed”, a community service program, where I participated in public speech and writing contests, in addition to community service activities. In summer of 2000, I joined the Lebanese Red Cross where we conducted many seminars and activities to educate young and senior citizens about several issues in the health field. My experiences during high school and in the Red Cross made me value the feeling that one gets when helping others; it was the best feeling I ever experienced. In highschool I was in Advanced Placement Honors Classes such as Calculus and Science. I have earned two degrees, BA in Managment and MBA in Business Administration, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of business such as finance, marketing, econonmics, and organizational behavior but I have always enjoyed basic math such as alegebra. In addition, through my extensive writing of papers at the Masters level and Doctoral level I have learned extensive grammatical skills, literary techniques, MLA, and APA knowledge. I love teaching and being around children. I love watching them grow and learn new things. I love the excitement and joy they have when they learn something new.
