I have recently earned my BA degree from the University of Florida in the field of Health Science. I have future plans to go to graduate school to become a Physicians Assistant, which will take me 2 years to complete once I get accepted. I am in the process of finishing my application now. I have great study habits seeing as I graduated with honors from UF.

A Little Bit About Me...

I really like working with children from low income families. I think each child has a different interest and way of learning. I try to discover these learning styles before I begin the tutoring process. I try to allow them to be comfortable and having fun during our sessions. Most of the time I do a lot of question/conversation responses to allow them to find the answer for themselves. I like a problem based learning style, even for the youngest of children. I not only want to teach them how to properly concur their learning material but how to find the information they need if they do not know the answer. Additionally, I want them to have fun and enjoy quality time with a supportive mentor and gain an enthusiasm for school.

I would go over the intoduction of the new topic with my student and go over the steps to answering the questions and repeating them until it clicks. I would like to start with the most simple question and work my way up to the more complicatde questions. As and questions or concerns pop up along the way I would address them so that there is no confusion of how each step in solving the problem is chosen.
I am a college graduate of University of West Florida’s college of Building Construction and Engineering Technology. I have taken calculus 1 through 3, statics, dynamics, strength of materials, thermodynamics and many other math involved courses. I am not a complicated person and like to keep things basic and easy.
