Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. My primary experience lies with Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Program. This program was established to promote and nurture minorities interested in pursuing a career in the sciences and mathematics. I was involved in the program as a fellow. This position required me to mentor a group of younger scholar students. The position required me organize events (such as tours of science industries and resume building session), establish program outline for the school year, lead mentoring sessions, and facilitate study sessions. While earning my BA in history, I was able to lean many aspects of history. My studies ranged from the Mild Ages to the 1960s and current. I was also able to intern with the Sherburne County History Center where I learned on the job techniques and how to interact with children. Though teaching was not my primary role at the History Center, I was exposed to many opportunities not only to teach but to help others track down their lineage. Teaching comes easily to me especially with high school and college age students. I highly enjoy accelerated history, critical thinking and exploring the odd details of history.
