Although I have recently graduated with a degree in business, I am interested in pursuing a career involving people. My previous employment was a sales position that was very customer-oriented. I also have 3 years of experience helping children by teaching swimming lessons. Assisting my 15-year-old sister with her school work is also a regular activity.

My goal is to provide information in small steps which eventually lead to the mastery of a subject. I include problem-solving and critical thinking in my teaching, since this will eventually lead to an independent student who really understands the subject. As a high school student, I began teaching Sunday School and continued throughout my college years. While stationed in the USAF in Alaska, I decided to pursue teaching as a career. Upon completing college with a BS degree in Mathematics with an education emphasis, I began teaching high school math and science. I have taught in five different schools for a total of 31 years. During that time I also coached many extra-curricular school sports teams. Now I am teaching ACT and SAT prep classes in various schools of the Minnesota area.
