I was inspired to pursue mathematics-related work by my eighth grade algebra teacher. An honors math student in high school and college, I decided to pursue a career where I could utilize my analytical and quantitative skills: finance. I believe strongly in providing children an opportunity to learn material in a way that will resonate with them personally. Throughout my education leading to a dual Master's Degree I have been able to learn a wealth of information about tailoring information to meet individual learning styles. I have experience in a variety of subject areas such as: math, statistics, reading, writing, social sciences (psychology, sociology, political science). Additionally, I have provided private lessons for multiple students that play brass instruments.
I love working with all children, and all age groups. I am here to help find a unique way to present the material to your child to help them understand it in language that they can understand. I am patient, easy going and considerate. My overall goal is to help young students realize their potential, and instill a love of learning.

I begin by starting a conversation to break the ice. A child cannot beging learning from a stranger. If I can get to know a child better, then I can get a better idea of how they learn, how much information they will absorb, what they will find interesting, and ultimately, this will impact their overall experience with me, with tutoring, and with their desire to continue learning through the venue of tutoring. I feel that if a child has a certain interest in something, then that particular "interest" (perhaps dinosaurs, or Zhu Zhu Pets for example), can be used to enhance their own experience of learning.
