I am Chinese native speaker. I moved to the US in 2002 and learn to speak fluent English in those 13yrs. I have taught Grade 2 English for a period of time while was a English student in a foreign language school.I learned how to make learning is fun and easy and the process to become a foreign language speaker. Chinese is one of my top subjects! I passed the ACTFL OPI and WPT of mandarin both with the highest level——superior. I am eligible to teach mandarin in school.

My philosophy for teaching math is to use a variety of methods that scaffold and develop students’ higher-order thinking skills. An underlying emphasis of my career, either as a teacher, principal or superintendent, has been a focus on helping challenged students. Beyond several years teaching and serving as an administrator at many levels within the educational field, I have taught and tutored students both in the U.S. and China. Since retiring, I have mentored students with the emphasis on, again, helping challenged students achieve to their best capacity. Perhaps my greatest skills, other than motivating students, is to aid students in learning language, writing, and basic English skills.
