According to me teaching is the process of imparting knowledge or skills. It’s about not only motivating students to learn, but teaching them how to learn, and doing so in a manner that is relevant, meaningful, and memorable. I believe that knowledge should not be imparted to students in a way that is stressful. I enjoy teaching Mathematics and helping students realize their true potential. I am not a 'mathematician' , I am a teacher who understands math, so my teaching style is very student centered. My focus is to simplify math concepts to the level of each student for better understanding. Mathematics can be very intimidating to students so my goal as a teacher is to help students gain confidence in their skills and have a positive learning experience.
I graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in Secondary Education and a BS in Business Administration. My education major is in spanish but I am also certified to teach Mathematics. Some people learn visually, some people learn by practicing, some people don't want to learn. My style varies according to the individual and what he or she likes or dislikes.
