I began working with children at the age of 10 in the capacity of babysitter/activities director. As a teen I began working in daycare centers and have worked in the capacity of teacher/assistant teacher/ director/owner. I have taught public school in Florida and the Bronx, NY over the past 5 years. I have worked as a drop-out prevention teacher and have had the privileged to work with a large number of disadvantaged and at-risk students.
I have strong classroom management skills and a passion for helping kids gain a better understanding for anything under the sun! I have high expectations of what my students can do, and help support them in achieving those expectations. My comments on tutoring English ESOL : Two years experience as Senior ESOL instructor with Inlingua (Vienna, Austria). As a substitute instructor for 22 other staff, I was frequently told that I was the first instructor whose every word was understood. As stated elsewhere, I have offered ESOL in many other areas including Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College, with Korean Air Force Officers and as a volunteer with H.E.A.R.T. and R.S.V.P.

For the greater part of my life I have been involved in various facets of education. I have acted as substitute teacher at the middle and high school levels for a total of 10 years, 8 of which were spent at 12 schools in Vermont and 2 at 10 schools in Hernando County FL.
