My comments on tutoring GED : This is my specialty. I have MANY Books, websites, printouts, etc. to help. I have worked with a dozen students from high school to 60 years old. I can give references. I can help those who have taken the many prep classes offered at high schools and learning centers, yet still failed to pass the test.

I excel at identifying each students strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I can quickly adapt or create lessons as needed. Most of my students look forward to our time together, as we have fun, but get our work done.
I homeschooled my three daughters for 10 years, right through high school. All three have gone on to Colllege and have excelled, making the Dean's list. In the work world, two have been highly praised for their writing skills. After homeschooling, I began tutoring. I have over 5 years experience and have tutored elementary, middle school, high school, and college students, as well as adults preparing for exams such as the GED. I also believe that learning must be engaging, meaningful, and fun. All children are individuals with their own unique learning styles and developmental patterns. I know that what works for one child may not work for another child, and I generally try multiple approaches until I find the one that works. I love teaching. I especially love the reaction I get when a student understands a difficult concept they have been struggling with. To help struggling students, we break down difficult concepts into smaller pieces and help them translate difficult scientific jargon and other vocabulary into "regular English". Discovering how these words are broken down allows the students to recognize and translate words in the future. A Little Bit About Me...

As a Strayer University graduate, I was determined to achieve the goal I had set for my life in Accounting. I have to admit it was very challenging for me because I was returning to school, after being out for 30 years, so I could enhance my education It's better to complete your education when you're younger, so I encourage any child to do so. When I started school, my intention was to achieve an Associate degree, but after I obtained it, I decided to go for the Bachelor degree. I only tutored and mentored some of my peers at school.
