I integrate as many subjects as possible and seek to provide the missing schema, background experience and knowledge, that is critical to learning to a true state of understanding and mastery. Every subject is interesting to a child who can understand it and apply it. I recieved a percussion perfromance degree form Eastern Washington University in 1992, since then I have been teaching private music lessons (percussion and begining piano)as well as teaching some high school music programs. I also have many years experience in performing all percussion instruments.
I love teaching all different ages. I have a passion for working with children and adults. My approach to teaching is a positive one providing lots of encouragement and positve reinforcement. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy working with children and get a kick from seeing a discovery or understanding in a students eyes. I've had the opportunity to collect numerous bio. samples for hands on experience. I have also taken workshops in the workings of google earth as a teaching tool along with mapping and watershed principles.I feel I have benn successful in elightening many student's lives.
I started teaching in 1970 as a K-8 substitute, continuing until being hired by a private school in 1975. I then taught full time in East LA. Upon moving to Wa. and being certified here, I taught in several schools in differing cultural settings untill recently starting my own business in Newport. I have also tutored and graded math praxis.
