The description of my teaching style changes with each new class I receive. I am a strong believer in the Multiple Intelligence approach to teaching, as individual students learn in many different ways. In my classroom, expectations are explained at the beginning of each lesson. Because attention spans only last between 12 and 15 minutes, I make sure to rotate activities to insure that my students are engaged. I am also a strong believer in "real world" lessons and activities that my students can relate to. This encourages my students' critical thinking abilities as well as a desire to learn. My most recent experience in teaching would be the year I spent in Seoul, South Korea. I began as a teacher and was soon the head teacher of the Kindergarten programs. Our kindergarten programs were a full day and full immersion for the students. I taught the middle school afternoon programs from ages 6-14 and at every level as well as in every subject. My most advanced students were fluent and therefore studied intensive subjects such as science, political history, geography and several others. We most intensely worked on writing and reading. My college experiences were spent observing as a student teacher, tutoring hispanic immigrants, and eventually teaching a semester of high school spanish classes.
