Elementary Math is one of my top subjects! I have worked with multi ability level students mostly in grades 4-6. I use many different approaches to help students gain the understanding of different topics. I believe every student can be successful in math.

I feel that it is important to explain basic underlying theory behind science and math, as well as presenting these topics in a step by step, logical manner. I feel it is important to teach methods for how to obtain a solution and not rely on rot memorization of facts and equations.
As a graduate student I taught an undergraduate engineering lab course for a semester, and spend 2-3 additional semesters grading tests and assignments for various undergraduate level courses in mechanical engineering. I would describe my teaching style as hands on and according to multiple learning styles. I understand that students learn best when they have the option of working with material objects.
