Tutor for the summer

I am a speech therapist with 11 years and experience. I have worked with students pre-k through 12th grade, primarily pre-k through 5th grade. I have extensive experience working with students on reading comprehension, answering and asking questions, semantics of language (antonyms, synonyms, multiple meanings of words, attributes, categorization), syntax, grammar, phonics and much more! As a regular classroom teacher, I felt hampered due to class size. I was never satisfied connecting with just a few students. Every student was important to me. I realized that the only way for me to really reach students was by reducing the teacher-student ratio. As a tutor, I found that teaching smaller groups of students or one-on-one was for me.
