A variety of methods are an important means to education as not all students experience the learning process in the same way. NLP, VAK, Multiple Intelligences, PACE system, Journaling, SuperLearning with Lazanov; relaxation tapes and tapes for particular learning needs I make myself for the students. I consider each student as "special" and work one on one with each one as I believe developing relationships is a must in all educational environments in preparation for their particular vocation. My teaching style is highly student focused. Instead of providing only textbook reading and writing my classroom focuses on having the students work hands on to create models of the systems they are learning so they can develop their own understanding of the material. I believe that all students should have an interest in the workings of biology especially related to the human body. A priority of mine is to make sure the students are not rushed in their learning. I believe that each student should be encouraged to proceed at a pace that fosters learning and not rote memorization. During my tenure as a teacher I have worked with all levels of learners including mentally challenged and gifted and talented students.

I have been teaching and tutoring for 22 years. I have taught all core classes (Math, English, Social studies and Science, and CTE-Business/Marketing.
I love teaching. It seems children are drawn to me. I am patient and kind and love to have fun. In tutoring, I assess to where the child needs the most help and use my time where it is needed most. I believe in multiple intelligences.
