I have been providing tutoring and music lessons for 20 years. I studied French Horn on full scholarship at the University of Arizona. I have been playing music professionally (getting paid ;-) since I was 18. I play just about every wind instrument know to man. I have been working professionally in the health care field since 1996. As a trainer and coach, I work with diverse groups (age, background, education, etc.) and utilize varied styles to meet the needs of the participants. Adult learners need to connect past knowledge with new discoveries and have a sense that what they are learning will benefit them in some way, children need to experience, touch and incorporate their senses into their learning.
All in all, I alter my teaching to meet the needs of my students. With over 35 years of work experience, 20 years of volunteering to children and their parents, a BA in education and a MA in management, my experiences are diverse and have allowed me to utilize and grow my skills and gifts.
