Experience Summary
With over 35 years of work experience, 20 years of volunteering to children and their parents, a BA in education and a MA in management, my experiences are diverse and have allowed me to utilize and grow my skills and gifts. I believe in life-long learning and empowering others to accomplish their goals.
I have a sense or ingrained need to be dedicated to something outside of myself. Helping others, especially as it relates to either children or people who, for whatever circumstance, have had to endure hardship, misunderstanding or injustice. My dedication is to help empower others.
Teaching Style
As a trainer and coach, I work with diverse groups (age, background, education, etc.) and utilize varied styles to meet the needs of the participants. Adult learners need to connect past knowledge with new discoveries and have a sense that what they are learning will benefit them in some way, children need to experience, touch and incorporate their senses into their learning.
All in all, I alter my teaching to meet the needs of my students.
