Sign language interpreter is what I am getting my college degree in. Am still learning but I do know a lot, as learning a new language takes a while. Sign language is something that I really enjoy. I've interpreter things from work, nothing big but still experience. I've completed ASL 1-4. Almost done with my degree as a sign language interpreter.

Sign Language is one of my top subjects! I have had 5 years experience using Sign language in various settings including jobs and volunteer services such as: -Job Coach. -Interpreter. -Language Facilitator. -Teacher. -Tutor.

My teaching style is adaptive. I start with a lesson outline, from there we go based on the students needs.
Since 2010 I have been involved with various jobs teaching, interpreting and using American Sign Language. I began an Interpreter Training Program at Nashville State Community College. After the first year of the program, I decided to move to a location where many Deaf people were and immersed myself in the language. I got a job as a job coach specifically working with Deaf and hard of hearing individuals. I also began volunteering as an interpreter at a local church. I have an Educational Interpreting Performance Assessment (EIPA) of 3.4 and hold a B.S. in American Sign Language Interpreting from Tennessee Temple University. Due to family issues, I dropped out at in the 9th grade but due to extensive reading most of my life on many subjects, and being gifted intellectually, thank God, I was enrolled in college at the age of 16. Due to my age, I lacked the discipline needed to succeed then so joined the Army at 18 and finished first in my class in their HS program.
