I received my BS in Electrical Engineering in December. I was one of two who graduated under the Honor's Program and maintained a 3.72 GPA. I've been tutoring math ever since my second semester in college and even while I was in high school. I've taken Calculus 3, differential equations, linear algebra, and discrete mathematics and received an A in each of them. I have a great deal of experience along with a sound background in mathematics.
When it comes to math, there is always more than one way to attack the problem at hand and each method appeals to different students. I usually start off with one and I can quickly tell if another would be more effective for each individual since I've noticed everyone has different styles of learning. I do believe everything mathematical can be taught and learned - there are no lost causes when it comes to math.

A Little Bit About Me...

I was an American Read tutor at two elementary schools. I worked with kindergarteners and third graders to enhance their reading skills. In a one on one setting with approved books and kept them on track will goals that we set to meet each each. While I earned a bachelor's of science in Zoology where I took human anatomy. I have also tutored my younger four siblings through school.
I get to know the student first and see how best he/she learns. and go from there. I have worked with so many different personalities that I have been able to help each the best I can with understanding and patience. I love teaching, but to students about 12 and older. I am able to relate and connect well with them, and let them learn and take pride in their progress. Especially with younger kids, a high degree of focus on my part can be necessary to keep them on task, but I find that one can be firm with them and not need to be patronizing or forceful.
