Over 25 years experience in classical ballet I have been dancing since the age of three. I received my early training from LaGrange School of Ballet in LaGrange, GA. I have training and teaching experience in classical ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip-hop, praise dance, and lyrical. I received a B.A. in Dance Performance from the University of Alabama in 2004. Past performances include The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Cinderella, Hairspray, and Chicago to name a few. I am the past resident choreographer/senior instructor for Ballet on Wheels in Memphis, TN. I am a very strong believer of hands-on learning. I do reference textbooks as well, but the majority of my lessons involve labs, projects, and hands on experiences. My lessons are always references to real life situations and students understand how the daily lesson applies to their own lives. I enjoy teaching students and seeing the "light go on" when suddenly the understand a concept that was at one time very obscure to them.
