My language learning career began in middle school when I chose to study Spanish. having enjoyed the language so much, I continued all throughout high school and eventually chose to continue my Spanish learning in college. I chose to study Spanish and Secondary Education. during my undergraduate work, I was recommended for tutoring Spanish at the beginning and intermediate levels. I continued that work for my sophomore and junior years. During my time in college, I was fortunate enough to have the ability to study abroad for a semester in Granada, Spain. I enjoy showing others the world that opens up through the ability of speaking another language. And it is with that knowledge that they drive themselves towards excellence. While challenges with Spanish is high school, I sought a fuller understanding of the language as I entered college. Again, I have learned that all children learn differently and one approach does not work for all. I have several tried and true techniques to guide my son in the learning (in mainly reading and comprehension) and not only help him learn, but to make it an enjoyable experience.
