I enjoy showing others the world that opens up through the ability of speaking another language. And it is with that knowledge that they drive themselves towards excellence. Once the goal is understood, we can explore the development of the language, and understand how the language is also another way of seeing the world.
While challenges with Spanish is high school, I sought a fuller understanding of the language as I entered college. With that goal, I traveled to Paraguay where I taught English and learned Spanish myself. I further cemented my understanding of Spanish by studying abroad in Spain for a year, and later earning my Bachelor of Arts from UCONN in Spanish.

Again, I have learned that all children learn differently and one approach does not work for all. I have several tried and true techniques to guide my son in the learning (in mainly reading and comprehension) and not only help him learn, but to make it an enjoyable experience. I am very patient and nurturing and work very well with children at the elementary level. I can switch gears on a dime if plan A is not working.
