My comments on tutoring Pre-Algebra : Retired secondary classroom teacher after 32 years in public education. Currently teaching at several SAT/ACT College Prep Businesses in Plano, Frisco, Argyle, and Denton.

I am junior at UNT Denton and currently work as an AVID high school tutor at Fossil Ridge High School in Keller, TX. I primarily tutor sciences such as biology and chemistry but I am also proficient in basic math classes. I used to be a chemistry major so I am very strong in general chemistry. I am now a speech pathology majore but I am best at tutoring chemistry and math classes because I have done them for so long.

A Little Bit About Me...

My degree in Engineering has given me plenty of experience in math and science. I have also had graduate courses in Physics and Engineering. As a graduate student at UNT, I instructed several physics and astronomy labs and learned first hand what teaching can be like. I have since felt that teaching math and science is a career I want to pursue.
I have always had a passion for learning, and helping others learn. In middle school, High School and College, other students came to me for help with assignments. I just graduated from Texas Woman's University this May, Magna Caum Laude and in the top ten percent of the class with my degree in Biochemistry. My exiting g.p.a was a 3.688. My last year of college I was president of Iota Sigma Pi, which is a national honor society for women in chemistry. As an organization we earned funds by acting as tutors to college students in general chemistry and introductory chemistry courses.
