I have been a certified special education teacher for 10 years. I have had the fortune to teach in various environments in a handful of different states. I have taught elementary students for a majority of my career, but have also managed to squeeze in high school and middle students for three years. The flexibility of my certification has allowed me to teach students with varying needs in the classroom and to teach Core Curriculum state standards, an alternative curriculum, and functional skills. I believe that all students are successful. Each child needs to be given the correct tools for him or her to learn properly.
