I began tutoring in high school then in college, I majored in mathematics to pursue a career in teaching. My career took another direction yet I continued my passion for teaching others through tutoring at local non-profits. Last year, I taught 8th grade math at a local public middle school. When I was attending Regis University, I started majoring in English and minoring in Education. I student taught and tutored two days out of the week for four hours for two and a half consecutive semesters. I absolutely enjoyed working with the students, it was the teachers that had me hang up my hat in that field. I would hear the teachers complain and witness them not helping the students with their %110. This was very disheartening. It made me think that teaching would become a job for me, and not a satisfaction of fulfilling students own dreams.
