Experience Summary
I have recently graduated from Regis University. At Regis, along with institutional lessons, they taught me life lessons as well. I honorably graduated in May on 2009 with a BA in English and a minor in Business Administration. I was taught linguistically and grammatically in my studies at Regis. I understand easy mistakes one can make, and mistakes that are hard to see and understand by just reading a paragraph. Due to the fact that I was an English major I spent most of my time writing essays and lengthy papers, only to have them returned revised and had to re-write them noticing my own mistakes along the way. Not knowing it at the time, it was helping me immensely with my own literature skills.
Teaching Style
When I was attending Regis University, I started majoring in English and minoring in Education. I student taught and tutored two days out of the week for four hours for two and a half consecutive semesters. I absolutely enjoyed working with the students, it was the teachers that had me hang up my hat in that field. I would hear the teachers complain and witness them not helping the students with their %110. This was very disheartening. It made me think that teaching would become a job for me, and not a satisfaction of fulfilling students own dreams. I know realize that it is the attitude and respect for the students that help them learn, not making them do meaningless work.
