I enjoy teaching because it allows me to contribute to a student's understanding of invaluable concepts which will improve and enrich their lives. I am sociable and easy to talk to, and I remember what it was like being in school and struggling with difficult concepts. All students can learn, and I believe that the key is finding a way for each individual student to personally relate to the material. If difficult concepts can be presented in a way that is tailored to each student's specific needs and interests, their potential may be reached.
As a graduate of the University of Florida, I earned two bachelor's degrees. I love seeing people understand something once I explain it to them in a way that they can understand it. I also love working with kids and teenagers because I believe that if we have a positive influence on young people they will grow up to be the leaders that our nation needs. My teaching style is geared at making people think. Students don't learn when they are spoon fed their education but when they are lead in the correct direction.
I am currently enrolled in the graduate engineering program at the University of Florida, in which I plan to graduate in the spring of 2012. I enjoy working with people and I have a strong background in numerical analysis. I have taken the GRE, ACT, and the SAT.
