I feel that teaching will not only inform young minds to think differently or make them more motivated to learn. But to allow one to master his or her knowledge in general, teaching allows oneself to fully understand the subject in their own minds. Young minds such as children are easily impacted by an adult, which I feel that that should be influenced with positive, enjoyable learning. Allowing a young mind to like learning or studying will allow them to become very motivated individuals in life. I use positive motivation with my students, explaining how subject matter being covered should relate to them and their future successes. I try to link the subjects with current events and how lack of knowledge on specific subjects can cost them either financially or impact their health and well being. For example, when I encounter a senior who is not participating in class, I give them an employment application to fill out, explaining if they have difficulty completing it, they better join the class.
