Experience Summary
I graduated LSU and was commissioned as an officer in the US Air Force. I completed Transportation Officer courses on vehicle fleet management, commercial transportation, and staff logistics officer training related to airlift terminal management and operations. I also attended and graduated from the Traffic Accident Investigation and Traffic Control course. I have been a business consultant for 25 years, and have done substitute teaching for Newton and Gwinnett County schools for 5 years. As a Kiwanian, I have worked with middle and high school Builder and Key Clubs. I tutor English; Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and business management. I tutor on computer programs such as Windows (all versions) Microsoft Office (all versions).
Teaching Style
I use positive motivation with my students, explaining how subject matter being covered should relate to them and their future successes. I try to link the subjects with current events and how lack of knowledge on specific subjects can cost them either financially or impact their health and well being. For example, when I encounter a senior who is not participating in class, I give them an employment application to fill out, explaining if they have difficulty completing it, they better join the class.
