My teaching style is to listen to the student and let them try to work the problem out. If they can't figure the problem out, I give them a similar example to follow and let them use that problem as a model. There is normally a protocol or steps to follow in math. I lead them through the steps using that example. Then they go back to their original problem and normally can do it better. Other subjects require reading like history or economics. My experience with teaching and helping students involve my working as a art club teacher in an after school program.
