I like teaching and also tutoring. I am considerate and patient. I believe that each student has the potential to be an academic success.
In college, I was a Math Tutor in all the requisite courses and calculus. I have earned two bachelor degrees, BS in Math and BS in Mechanical Engineering, which has enabled me to gain an understanding in many areas of math and science. In addition, I have learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and laboratory reports, along with essays in many various areas of study. I have taught adult students in mathematics, mechanical assembly, and job skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have worked almost continuously at Wichita Collegiate School over the last 8-9 years. During high school I worked in the Early Childhood after-school program and summer programs. Since graduating from Colorado State University I have substituted in multiple age groups and for a variety of course work areas. In addition, I have received an Associates Degree in Elementary Education and am working towards a Teaching License. I completed an unpaid internship at the YMCA of the Ozarks, Camp Lakewood in Missouri. I have worked with a multitude of students in a wide variety of subjects. I feel confidant that I can help students in a wide variety of educational subjects.

I teach English as a Second Language in the evenings to adult immigrants in the Wichita area. This is a very rewarding experience; the students are eager to learn, and grateful for all I can share with them. One family has called upon me to tutor their sons in grammar and reading comprehension, as well as to help them with various papers as they progressed through middle school, high school and college coursework. I am thankful that I had some "hard" teachers and professors throughout my education. I have honestly grown to understand the importance of success and how nothing worth having comes easily.
