A Little Bit About Me...

I have just graduated high school, and have just finished thirteen years of learning. I have ADD, and have had a semester's worth of interning at the Specialized Language Development Center, working with kids who struggle with reading, writing, and comprehension. Kids brought to the center are usually dyslexic, ADD/ADHD, or have some type of learning disability, however, those without disabilities come for help too, ranging from kindergarden all the way to college level students.

I enjoy teaching children and preparing those who will be the future of our society. Each student learns differently and it is imperative that one’s teaching style must be adapted to the way a student learns. As a graduate of Andrews University, I was confronted with the task of completing a degree in the field of Engineering. I traveled for a year with a family and home-schooled their 3 children. The children were in 1st grade, kindergarten, and pre-school and were seriously below grade level in math and reading. In that year, I brought those children beyond grade level in reading skills and comprehension as well as math skills.
