I have been driven my entire life to assist others. I started working in the health care industry as a CNA, 1979. I then went to college and obtained my social work degrees. I worked in various settings to include nursing homes, mental health centers, prisons, adolescent group homes and currently home health care, 1987 to 2009. I am currently pursing additional nursing education, so I can combine my knowledge in the social work arena with nursing. I frequently helped kids with their homework after school, as needed. I volunteered as a 3rd grade Sunday School teacher for a year. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in Social Work. I am a student-oriented teacher and am willing to do all I can to make learning approaches applicable to each child’s needs. My goal in tutoring is to help the child connect with the subject at hand and develop a greater interest in learning, irrespective of the method used.
