I am currently both a adjunct Accounting instructor and a Accounting tutoring instructor with DeVry University. In previous years, I have been a full-time Accounting instructor at a community college. My full-time job is that of Associate Campus Director at a private school in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have taught all accounting courses applicable to a Bachelor's degree, from Accounting Principles to Intermediate and Cost Accounting. I am also certified and have taught on-line accounting courses. My teaching style is "hands-on" instruction. I enjoy teaching in a classroom environment. Face to face instruction supplemented with course materials is my preference. It's important to link the book and the homework with proper instruction. Working through examples and using illustrations also enhances learning and comprehension.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Business - Accounting degree in 2007 and am now a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). I have had great accounting experience in many different areas of accounting that will be useful in tutoring/mentoring students. I have worked private accounting, public accounting, and I currently work for a public charter school as the senior accountant. I am a very dedicated and responsible person. I enjoy being around and helping kids. Over the past year I have helped two college students pass their accounting classes. I also was a middle school football coach for two years. I also use visuals to help show, for stundents not understanding from listening. I have worked as a tutor for Pueblo Community College from 2009 to 2010. I am interested in working again as a Mathematics Tutor, I've had a very enriching previous experience from former employers at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I've obtained two degrees, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S.B.A. in Economics. I love education and working along with others. I'm very passionate in continually cultivating myself and growing, in fact, my last employer hired me to teach English in Taiwan! It was wonderful experience. My teaching style starts usually with a question to spark and interest, or perhaps another question. I idenify with the audience and that is extremely helpful. I am patient and enjoy when a student finds confidence by learning something new. I use some props and examples to aid a particular subject, and I speak English very well so there is no miscommunication.
