A Little Bit About Me...

I have been doing accounting work for the last eleven years. I have done G/L, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax Preparation. I have most of my old books that can be used as references and usually it doesn't take a lot to get your mind set back into accounting. If a person can remember the basics of accounting then brushing up on it will be easy.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is "hands-on" instruction. I enjoy teaching in a classroom environment. Face to face instruction supplemented with course materials is my preference. It's important to link the book and the homework with proper instruction. Working through examples and using illustrations also enhances learning and comprehension.
I am currently both a adjunct Accounting instructor and a Accounting tutoring instructor with DeVry University. In previous years, I have been a full-time Accounting instructor at a community college. My full-time job is that of Associate Campus Director at a private school in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I have taught all accounting courses applicable to a Bachelor's degree, from Accounting Principles to Intermediate and Cost Accounting. I am also certified and have taught on-line accounting courses.

My teaching style starts usually with a question to spark and interest, or perhaps another question. I idenify with the audience and that is extremely helpful. I am patient and enjoy when a student finds confidence by learning something new. I use some props and examples to aid a particular subject, and I speak English very well so there is no miscommunication.
I am interested in working again as a Mathematics Tutor, I've had a very enriching previous experience from former employers at Colorado State University-Pueblo, where I've obtained two degrees, a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S.B.A. in Economics. I love education and working along with others. I'm very passionate in continually cultivating myself and growing, in fact, my last employer hired me to teach English in Taiwan!
