Teaching to me is one of the greatest pleasures I have. Helping children learn and making learning fun is something I strive for. I understand that all children are different and teaching styles need to be just as different. I like to find different ways for children to like and understand a problem that was once difficult. I listen and like the children to explain to me their difficulties and come up with a solution together to make learning fun.
I have always worked with children, from baby sitting to working in a licensed day care facility. I have helped children with their homework and love the challenges early childhood creates. With my experience working with children I have learned patience and valuable listening skills. I earned by Bachelors degree in history which taught me how to sit and pay attention to detail.

As a Michigan resident, I was unable to find sny substantial work in the fiels of Social Work once I earned my BA degree. So, I worked in 3-4 school districts over a two year period before gaining full time work with the State. Eventually, in 2006 I lost my position with the state and again returned to substitute teaching. I enjoy young poeple and giving them a strong dose of encouragement even in brief one-day encounters. My knowledge of social science and behaviors has enabled me to realize a high rate of satisfaction and sucess with each student that I face.
