My comments on tutoring Geometry : Geometry is all about visualization. This can be challenging for some, but luckily all you need is guidance and practice, and it becomes easier very quickly! I am experienced in helping kids who need help processing some of the more complicated topics in geometry.

For tutoring, I prefer face-to-face lessons, because it makes it easier for me to gauge how well the student is understanding the material. I try to explain concepts in a variety of ways to find out how the student learns best, whether through repetition, example, metaphor, application... whatever works! I have tutored kids with all kinds of needs and a few with pretty short attention spans :) For piano lessons, I would use the Alfred library of teaching materials, as that is how I was taught and it works wonders on new learners! In addition to reading music, I would focus on performance techniques and theory as well.

I am extremely proficient with mathematics having received a BS in mechanical engineering and a minor in mathematics. I started off college at Mohawk Valley Community College and earned a Liberal Arts and Science degree. I feel that all college students should be well rounded and should take a wide variety of courses. I then enrolled at Utica College to finish my BS degree. The summer after my 8th grade year was my first experience teaching. It was there that I facilitated the younger children's use of the computer facilities during a summer reading program.
